Local residents, Damian & Heather Marsh, in conjunction with Meredith Mangum, RN from Rocky Mountain Associated Physicians (RMAP) in Salt Lake City, UT will be starting a support group for weight loss surgery.

The Marshes both underwent adjustable gastric band surgery in 2007. After attending an RMAP risks and benefits class hosted here in Rock Springs and sharing the story of their journey, they decided to offer their time and efforts to begin a support group locally. After contacting RMAP and finding at one time a support group was conducted in Rock Springs, work began on setting up the support group once again.

This support group is for anyone who wishes to attend, including those who have already had any weight loss surgery or are thinking about weight loss surgery.

When: Third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m., beginning May 21, 2009
